Styrene based compounds are widely used engineering thermoplastics in different markets due to their excellent visually and dimensional stability. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is produced from acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene monomers and polystyrene (PS) is produced from styrene monomer only. We research, develop, produce and commercialize wide range of styrene-based compounds for different markets under Tisakril® and Tisren® brands.
Basic ABS raw materials a wide range usage with the modification by different fillers, reinforcements and midifiers. Tisakril® ABS are glossy compounds with high styrene and butadiene ratio. In Tisakril® ABS compounds, acrylonitrile imparts chemical resistance and increases surface hard- ness, butadiene affects overall toughness depending on impact strength, styrene contributes ease of processing properties.
Tisren® PS compounds can be produced from two types of polystyrene which are general purpose polystyrene and high impact polystyrene. Polystyrene compounds are preferred due to their wide range of properties such as low specific gravity and good dimensional stability. Polystyrene is a hard and stiff plastic however it can be compounded with the additives to be used in home appliances, electronics, automotive and other markets.
